About Me:
What I do outside of work!

I grew up in South Shore Massachusetts and did my undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at Northeastern University.
From then to now I've been an avid fan of biking and (while not talked about in my portfolio extensively), it did inspire my design ideas for the assistive ergonomic wheelchair's electronic assist system.

Pictured is a map of NYC's bike routes (the green being dedicated bike paths). I've done most of Central Park and the Manhattan Waterfront Greenway, and I'm hoping to start biking on Brooklyn and Queen trails more in the future!
While I was interning at NASA JPL I *did* get to engage my biking hobby more as I chose to bike everywhere rather than get a car. Quite the exercise on the west coast.

Another benefit of interning there was access to all their hiking trails! Hiking's been a hobby of mine from when it was more flat, nature walks in high school to elevated climbs out west. The picture of me in the river was when I had the opportunity to camp in Zion and go hiking through The Narrows.

While there aren't as many accessible hiking spots in NYC as there are in Southern California, I'd like to think when a door closes a window opens as I've taken up embroidery recently in its stead.

I have a budding interesting in mending holes in my clothes stylistically and adding designs to them. While I'm very new to it, I've got a few projects in the works.

One of the embroidery projects show is just started but you can probably tell where I snagged my shirt on a door!
